7-year-jail, property seizure: Chhattisgarh gets tough on cattle smuggling

Chhattisgarh RAIPUR

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh govt on Tuesday announced tough measures to curb cattle smuggling, including mandatory licencing and vehicle signage for animal transport.

Violators will face seizure of property and vehicle, imprisonment of up to seven years and a fine of Rs 50,000.
