7 former NFL stars (Brian Urlacher!) with sons who committed to college teams on National Signing Day

It’s National Signing Day in college football which means it’s once again time to argue about recruiting classes and last-minute flips.

For those of us of a, shall we say, certain age, it’s also a day to feel very, very old as the talented sons of NFL players we grew up watching choose where they will go to college.

These are the names you’ll hear next fall that jolt you out of your seat when you see them make a play that looks just like their old man.

Only in this case we are the ones who have aged significantly.

Here are a few sons of former NFL greats you should get ready to watch for at least the next few years.

Dylan Raiola

Matt Rhule’s second year at Nebraska gets a massive boost by flipping Dylan Raiola — the son of longtime Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola — from Georgia to the Huskers at the last minute.

It helps the QB recruit is also the nephew of Nebraska OL coach Donovan Raiola.

Kennedy Urlacher

Yep. That’s Brian Urlacher’s son coming to the midwest. Kennedy Urlacher is three-star recruit at safety, per 247Sports. He also held offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Cal.

Jaren Sensabaugh

Longtime safety Gerald Sensabaugh will see his son head to Mizzou and play defensive back for Eliah Drinkwitz’s program. Jaren Sensabaugh is a four-star recruit out of Nashville who chose the Tigers over NC State, Tennessee and UCLA.

Kamdyn Koch

Sam Koch’s son is also a punter and he’s following his dad’s footsteps to Lincoln.

Devan Kennedy

The son of former first-round pick Jimmy Kennedy is following his dad to the Big Ten — just not the same school. The younger Kennedy chose Iowa over elder’s legacy at Penn State.

Willis McGahee IV

Feeling old yet?

Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.

Yep. Nick Saban, who coached Dre Kirkpatrick at Alabama, will now have the pleasure of coaching his son, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. at Alabama.
