AHMEDABAD: In response to the Gujarat high court's order for stringent action against buildings not following fire safety rules, the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services has informed the court that it has sealed seven highrise buildings with 320 units and issued notices for disconnection of water and power in 599 highrises in the city.
In an affidavit, the fire department stated that since the HC order passed on June 14, out of the 26 commercial highrise buildings without fire NOCs, two obtained fire NOCs and nine others applied for renewal of their NOCs.
