60 Minutes: next episode, how to watch and everything we know

60 Minutes.

Since 1968, 60 Minutes has been bringing in-depth reporting and exclusive interviews to audiences on many of the biggest stories and interesting topics of the time. That continues as 60 Minutes season 56 is a fixture of the CBS TV schedule.

Keep up with when the latest episode of 60 Minutes is airing, who's on it and how you can watch it (as well as past episodes and bonus features) right here in our 60 Minutes guide.

60 minutes next episode

60 Minutes is all new with a 90 minute episode on Sunday, September 29, premiering at 7:30 pm ET (or immediately after the NFL on CBS late game) and 7 pm PT on the west coast.

Here's a preview of the stories set to be covered on his week's 60 Minutes:

After the Hurricane: As Hurricane Helene strikes Florida this week, Sharyn Alfonsi reports on the difficult aftermath of another storm from 2022, when Hurricane Ian ripped through Florida, leaving behind an estimated $113 billion dollars of damage, and a long trail of litigation. After a year-long investigation, Alfonsi finds that an estimated 50,000 homeowners affected by Ian are still fighting with their insurance companies to repair or rebuild their homes. Alfonsi interviews insurance insiders and whistleblowers, who are licensed damage adjusters who worked claims during Ian.

Vladimir Kara-Murza: This past August witnessed the largest prisoner exchange between Russia and the West since the end of the Cold War. Scott Pelley goes behind the scenes of that historic swap through conversations with key players. He interviews Vladimir Kara-Murza, the Russian opposition leader who spent more than two years in prison for opposing the war in Ukraine. Pelley also speaks with Jake Sullivan, President Biden’s national security advisor, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who discusses his role in the deal for the first time.

Welcome to the W: In its 27th year, the WNBA is having a breakthrough season. A rookie class, as good as advertised, has made a seamless transition from college to the pros, blending with established stars. Attendance, TV ratings and corporate sponsorships have all spiked as The W has become a fixture in the modern sportscape. Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark, of the Indiana Fever, is the driving force behind this growth, but not the only one. Jon Wertheim speaks to Clark about this signature season, and meets her Fever teammate Aliyah Boston and Minnesota Lynx star veteran Napheesa Collier.

The Mezcaleros: Mezcal is having its moment. This handcrafted Mexican spirit, made from agave, has seen exponential growth in popularity and production. For this special two-parter, Cecilia Vega travels to Oaxaca and meets the mezcaleros laboring to quench the world’s thirst for mezcal. The deeper you travel into Oaxaca's countryside, the harder mezcaleros cling to their ancestral methods and the louder they'll tell you: there's a price to pay for this mezcal boom.

How to watch 60 Minutes

If you're interested in watching 60 Minutes live every Sunday, you can easily do that if you have a traditional pay-TV plan, a TV antenna or a live TV streaming service that carries CBS, such as Fubo, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV. However, there is also an option if you have cut the cord in favor of streaming, as Paramount Plus with Showtime gives subscribers the ability to watch their local CBS channel live.

Paramount Plus is also a good on-demand option for watching 60 Minutes, as full episodes are available on the streaming platform after they air on CBS for all subscribers.

A free option to keep up with 60 Minutes is to watch clips of the show on YouTube. The 60 Minutes channel on YouTube offers extended looks at the pieces shown in episodes, though they may be broken up or not include everything shown on live TV.

60 Minutes has also launched a free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel on free streaming service Pluto TV, Paramount Plus and the CBS News streaming platform that allows viewers to watch old interviews from throughout the show's history.
