6 workers killed in Andhra Pradesh chemical factory blaze, 12 critical

VIJAYAWADA: Six persons were charred to death and 12 others injured critically after fire broke out in a reactor of a chemical factory at Akkireddygudem village in Musunuru mandal of the newly-formed Eluru district in the early hours of Thursday. AP Pollution Control Board has ordered closure of the unit till further notice

Four of the dead are natives of Bihar. There were about three dozen workers in the unit when the blast occurred. Altogether there were about 50 workers in the factory in the night shift.
