6 groups of women could be given £6,900 in state pension back payments

Six types of women over State Pension age could be given up to £6,900 in back payments. The DWP is expected to complete the correction exercise into State Pension underpayments.

Two groups of women could be paid by the end of next year. It means those on CAT BL and CAT D should be completed in 2023, but could run through to “late 2024”.

The Daily Record reports these two groups include women who are married and should have received an upgraded State Pension and those aged over 80.
