6 bold predictions for Ravens’ Week 8 matchup vs. Buccaneers

The Baltimore Ravens will play in their second prime time matchup of the 2022 season as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a “Thursday Night Football” showdown. Both teams could use a win in the contest, with quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady facing off for the second time in their NFL careers.

The Ravens come into the game with a 4-3 record, while the Buccaneers enter at 3-4. There are plenty of storylines to look out for, including if Baltimore can shut down the Tampa Bay offense and whether the Ravens’ offense can get back on track in a big way against a depleted secondary.

The Tampa Bay secondary is depleted as can be, and Jackson has struggled over the course of the last four weeks. With those two things in mind, it seems like the perfect “get right” game for the signal caller and the Baltimore offense, as he throws for over 300 yards and four touchdowns.

Andrews was shut out on National Tight Ends day, hauling in no passes for no yards. Lamar Jackson looks his way early and often against the Buccaneers on Thursday night as the tight end catches seven passes for 150 yards and two scores.

Baltimore’s defense has been a turnover machine through the first seven weeks of the 2022 season, almost reaching their entire total from 2021 in that span. With Tampa Bay’s offense reeling, the Ravens’ defense could add three more interceptions to their total.

Oweh entered 2022 with massive expectations as Baltimore’s No. 1 pass rusher. His sack totals are low this season, but on Thursday night he gets to future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Tom Brady two times while also forcing a fumble.
