NEW DELHI: England won the toss and opted to bat in the much-anticipated fifth and final Test match between England and India, held on Thursday.

The match also marks significant milestones for two stalwarts of the game, with veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and England batter Jonny Bairstow both playing their 100th Test.
