DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand governor Lieutenant general Gurmit Singh (retired) inaugurated the “Economic Times Inspiring Leaders: Uttarakhand 2022 Award” ceremony organised by Optimal Media Solutions, a Times group Company on Monday. During the event, 57 dynamic business leaders from different sectors, including education, manufacturing, medical and IT, among others, who have made significant contributions to the Indian economy from the Uttarakhand region were awarded.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said, “Dehradun has been known for its renowned educational and military institutions which have produced civil and military leaders of the country. Since the inception of Uttarakhand in 2000, the hill state has made tremendous progress in every sphere... I am confident that these leaders who are contributing through their institutions will work harder to achieve further excellence and make Uttarakhand a premier state in growth and development.”
