5-year Senior citizen FD interest rates up to 8.05%: SBI vs PNB vs HDFC Bank vs other banks

Many senior citizens prefer fixed deposit (FD) investments because they want low-risk, stable returns and a regular source of income in their old age. Banks and small finance banks (SFBs) offer senior citizens with FD options of different tenures and interest rates. These banks also provide senior citizens with additional FD interest rates compared to general citizens. Many senior citizens invest in 5-year FDs to get attractive returns offered by various banks. Currently, some SFBs are offering up to 8.05% interest rates to senior citizens on the 5-year FD, while private and public sector banks are also offering attractive and competitive rates to senior citizens. Highest 5-year senior citizen FD interest rates by small finance banks (SFBs)

Small finance bank Suryoday SFB is offering the highest 5-year senior citizen FD interest rate at 8.05%. Jana Small Finance Bank is close behind with a 8.05% rate on its 5-year FD.

Among private sector banks, DCB Bank offers the highest FD interest rate of 8% on the 5-year senior citizen FD. Among major private sector banks, HDFC Bank is offering a 6.9% rate to senior citizens on the 5-year FD, while ICICI Bank’s rate is 7.1%.
