Lord Shiva is referred to as Bholenath, the naive, benevolent, and easily pleased god. Shiva simply considers the sincerity of the heart, in contrast to other gods who are worshipped through complex ceremonies. Scripture and culture consistently demonstrate that even a modest deed performed with genuine devotion quickly reaches him.
