Research the company's recent moves, not its homepage
Most candidates read the About Us page and call it preparation. Hiring managers at MNCs and startups can tell within two minutes of the interview. What they want to hear is whether you followed the company's last funding round, its recent product launch, or the leadership change that happened three months ago. Spend twenty minutes on the company's LinkedIn page, its press releases, and Google News filtered to the company name. Write down two specific things the company has done recently that connect to the role you are applying for. You will not memorise a script, you will have something real to say when the interviewer asks what draws you to them.
