There are lots to consider when deciding what film to watch on a Friday night, but this task is made a lot easier when a star-studded cast is involved.
Films and TV shows leave Netflix all the time, and this will again be the case during September 2022.
But when the line-up includes Hollywood icons, it can be a race to check out all the hit movies before they get the boot.
To make sure you don’t miss out on any Oscar-worthy performances, we have compiled a list of the top five star-studded movies leaving Netflix this month.
Man on Fire (2004)
Man on Fire is a 2004 thriller directed by Tony Scott, from a screenplay written by Brian Helgeland.
The film stars Denzel Washington as John Creasy, a despondent, alcoholic former CIA operative who accepts a job as a bodyguard from an old friend Paul Rayburn, played by Christopher Walken.
Due to the high rate of kidnappings in Mexico City for ransom money, businessman Samuel Ramos ( Marc Anhony ) hires Creasy to guard his nine-year-old daughter Pita ( Dakota Fanning ).
Just as Creasy begins to develop a fondness for the young girl, a bloodthirsty gunman, played by Jesús Ochoa, kidnaps her.

Creasy goes on a revenge rampage on those who committed the unspeakable act against the family he was hired to protect.
The action thriller is set to leave Netflix on September 15.
Stardust (2007)
Stardust is a 2007 romantic fantasy adventure film directed by Matthew Vaughn and based on Neil Gaiman’s 1999 novel of the same name.
The film features a star-studded cast led by Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jason Flemyng, Rupert Everett, Sienna Miller, and narration by Ian McKellen.
The plot follows Tristen, a young man from the fictional town Wall who ventures into the magical fantasy kingdom of Stormhold to retrieve a fallen star for his crush Victoria.
Instead of a star, he finds a woman named Yvaine who is in great danger - the King’s sons need her powers to secure the throne, while an evil witch wants to use her to achieve eternal youth and beauty.
The magical movie is being removed from Netflix on September 15.
The Revenant (2015)
Inspired by true events, The Revenant is a 2015 adventure drama film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
While exploring the uncharted wilderness in 1823, frontiersman Hugh Glass, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, sustains life-threatening injuries from a brutal bear attack and is left for dead by members of his team.
In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald ( Tom Hardy ) who kills his son Hawk (Forrest Goodluck).
Fuelled by vengeance, Glass must navigate a vicious winter through snowy terrain to track down the man who betrayed him.
The ensemble cast also includes Will Poulter, Domhnall Gleeson, Paul Anderson and Lukas Haas.
The Revenant will be taken down from Netflix on September 15.
A Cinderella Story (2004)
A Cinderella Story is a 2004 romantic comedy directed by Mark Rosman and is a modernisation of the classic Cinderella folklore.
The classic plot follows Sam ( Hilary Duff ), a teenager in California who is obliged to work as a waitress at the diner of her stepmother ( Jennifer Coolidge ), following the tragic death of her father.
After a mobile phone mix up, Sam begins an anonymous text-messaging relationship with a mysterious boy.
The pair agree to meet up at the school dance, but when Sam discovers her pen pal is heartthrob Austin Ames ( Chad Michael Murray ), she looks for a way to make herself cooler.
A Cinderella Story will be removed from the streaming service on September 16.
IT Chapter Two (2019)
IT Chapter Two is a supernatural horror film and a sequel to the 2017 film IT Chapter One.
Based on the 1986 Stephen King novel, the evil clown Pennywise returns 27 years after being defeated by members of the Losers’ Club to terrorise the town of Derry.
The childhood friends have since gone their separate ways, but the team reunites one last time to make a final stand against the shapeshifting clown.
The star-studded cast includes James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, Finn Wolfhard, Bill Skarsgård, and even Stephen King as a shopkeeper.
Horror film lovers will be disappointed to hear that IT Chapter Two will be removed from Netflix on September 13.
