Michigan State basketball continues to be one of the leaders in elite shooting guard Trey McKenney’s recruitment.
247Sports recruiting insider Travis Branham provided an update on McKenney’s recruitment this week and the Spartans received some encouraging news. Here’s what McKenney told Branham about Michigan State:
“I have been talking to them pretty much all of high school so I am planning to go down there and try to build a relationship with the team.”
McKenney ranks as the No. 15 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 3 shooting guard and No. 1 player from Michigan.
McKenney is also strongly considering Georgetown, Michigan, Notre Dame, Creighton, Rutgers, USC and Oregon.
