Michigan State football is right where it wants to be in the recruitment of an elite five-star edge rusher in the 2023 class.
Five-star edge rusher Jayden Wayne announced this past week that he’ll be committing on July 9, and that he’s narrowed the list of schools he’s considering to six. Michigan State is one of his six finalists, with the Spartans joined by Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, LSU and Miami (FL).
Wayne as the No. 5 edge rusher and No. 30 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class. He holds offers from more than 40 programs.
Wayne recently took an official visit to Michigan State last month, and has been a high priority for the Spartans. He however is currently projected to end up at Miami (FL) so we will have to wait and see if that’s where he commits or if the Spartans can land this massive recruit.
