5 second optical illusion challenge! Can you spot the lizard?

There are several ways to test your brain and challenge your cognitive skills. Optical illusions are puzzles that test your visual perception. It helps you improve your concentration and observation skills. What it depicts is often not the reality and you must fish for what the illusion really stands for. This is what makes it so fun and exciting too.

One such optical illusion is the image above. You can see a part of a desert with a small bed of tiny rocks. Among these gravels a lizard is hiding. You need to spot the reptile in 5 seconds or you lose! Can you do it in a limited time?

For many it is quite challenging to find the lizard in just 5 seconds, while some find it at a glance.

The Solution

The lizard is situated at the center of the image, camouflaged perfectly amongst the rocks. It has a red mark on its body. The species of the lizard is called toadhead agama. It dwells in the deserts of Asia and the Middle East.
