5 live worms found wriggling inside 70 year old man's abdomen: Here's what happened

As per a report published in the New England Journal of Medicine, five live parasitic worms were found wriggling inside the biliary tract of a 70 year old man in China. The parasites have been identified as Clonorchis sinensis. "A 70-year-old man undergoing cholangioscopy to evaluate dilatation of the common bile duct was found to have flatworms in his biliary tract," the NEJM report says. The man had a history of colon cancer and had a tumor in his intestine.
