One of the biggest questions entering the 2022 season for the Raiders was their offensive line. Specifically, there were a lot of concerns about who would play right tackle.
During training camp and the preseason, the Raiders rotated Brandon Parker and Alex Leatherwood at that spot. Neither player saw a single snap this season and the revolving door continued.
However, Jemaine Eluemunor stepped up in a big way for the Raiders and closed out the season strong. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the Raiders’ second-highest-graded player of the game after not allowing a single pressure on Saturday.
5 highest-graded #Raiders in Week 18 via @PFF:
DT Andrew Billings – 83.2
RT Jermaine Eluemunor – 79.8
DE Maxx Crosby – 78.5
LT Kolton Miller – 77.5
WR Davante Adams – 77.1— Marcus Mosher (@Marcus_Mosher) January 9, 2023
Eluemunor had a fantastic season for the Raiders as he allowed just three sacks and 26 pressures. He did not allow more than two pressures in a game since Week 12 and he had ten games where he allowed one or fewer pressures.
The Raiders still need to improve their offensive line this offseason, but the right tackle job should be Eluemunor’s going into the offseason. They’ll need to re-sign him, of course, but that seems like a lock to happen.
For all the bad that came from this season, the emergence of Eluemunor was one of the bright moments for this team.
