5 delicious ways to eat soaked sabja seeds every morning

Starting your morning with the right breakfast can fuel your body for the tasks ahead and nourish it well. Incorporating nutrient-dense Sabja seeds or basil seeds in your first meal of the day promises many benefits for well-being. Packed with the goodness of proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, dietary fibre, minerals, flavonoids, and polyphenols, Sabja seeds can support your weight loss efforts as well as keep you full for longer. The herb has been used since ancient times to add flavor and aroma to food.

2. Sabja milkshake

Combine 1 tsp of soaked sabja seeds, 1 tsp gond katira, soaked for four hours and 1 tbsp rose sharbat to make a delicious drink that will also keep hunger pangs at bay. It also has brain-boosting effects apart from helping to reduce stress, tension, and anxiety.

3. Sabja falooda

In a mood to pamper yourself with something out of the world? You can make this comforting as well as lavish breakfast. This multi-layered dish with jello, falooda, ice cream, rose syrup can be made on a relaxed weekend. Make homemade jello with water, honey and gelatin; add some rose water, and beetroot juice. Stir and transfer to a small dish and chill for 3-4 hours. Make a syrup by heating sugar and water solution and flavour it with rose extract. Beetroot juice can be made with 1 cup chopped beets with 1 cup water and straining it.

To make vermicelli, bring some water to boil, add falooda sev to it. Cook for around 3 minutes and chill. Also soak basil seeds for 30 minutes for using it in this recipe.

To serve your dish, drizzle rose syrup in an attractive glass, add rose jello, vermicelli, and fill the cup with thickened milk flavoured with cardamom. Add soaked seeds and a scoop of ice cream. Top with some more jello, rose petals and toasted almonds to enjoy your weekend-special sabja falooda.

4. Sabja Seed Smoothie

This is something quick that you can make on any busy workday. Soak sabja seeds for 15-20 minutes and keep it aside. Blend the fruit, yogurt or milk, and honey in a blender until smooth. Add soaked sabja seeds to it and pour into a glass and enjoy it.

5. Sabja Seed Pudding

Take 2 tbsp sabja seeds, 1 cup coconut milk or almond milk, 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave) and some fresh fruits or nuts for topping. Chill it and enjoy it at any time of the day.
