Spring is shaping up to be a seriously busy season for Prime Video, as the platform brings a mix of highly anticipated returning series, major movie releases and brand-new originals. The spring 2026 lineup is already stacked with titles worth adding to your watchlist.
Whether you’re in the mood for a fun comedy series, the return of “The Boys” for its highly anticipated fifth season, or an action-packed thriller, these upcoming releases could be among the biggest streaming highlights of the season.
So, here are the five Prime Video movies and shows I absolutely can’t wait to watch this spring.
‘Bait’
Starting off strong, we have a new comedy series that looks like an absolute blast. “Bait” is a six-episode British drama created, written and led by Riz Ahmed, who also serves as showrunner alongside Ben Karlin. It blends comedy with elements of drama and satire, and has been described as a “sharp, fast-paced, character-driven project.” The series premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2026 ahead of its global release this month, with all episodes dropping at once next week.
“Bait” follows struggling actor Shah Latif (Ahmed) as he lands what could be the opportunity of a lifetime: an audition to play James Bond. Convinced it’s his last shot at success, Shah’s world quickly begins to unravel as the pressure mounts. Over the course of four chaotic days, his personal and professional lives spiral out of control, with his family, ex-lover and the public all weighing in on his suitability for the role.

‘Pretty Lethal’
Action-thriller fans will want to tune into “Pretty Lethal,” an upcoming original movie directed by Vicky Jewson. Even from the trailer alone, it looks bloody, violent, and surprisingly funny considering its premise. Since it recently premiered at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, early reviews are leaning more positive, with the movie earning a solid 71% on Rotten Tomatoes. Dread Central’s Josh Korngut said it’s “consistently fun action mayhem.”
“Pretty Lethal” centers around five elite ballerinas — Zoe (Iris Apatow), Princess (Lana Condor), Chloe (Millicent Simmonds), Grace (Avantika) and Bones (Maddie Ziegler) — whose bus breaks down in a remote forest while en route to a prestigious competition. With no other options, they take refuge at a roadside inn run by former ballet prodigy Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman). Cut off from help and surrounded by danger, the group must rely on their rigorous training and determination to try to make it out alive.

‘The Boys’ season 5
The biggest release this spring has to be the fifth and final season of “The Boys.” This marks the final chapter of the hit series, with a two‑episode launch followed by weekly episodes until the finale on May 20. So if the series is ending, it might as well go out in spectacular fashion, and that’s exactly the vibe this final trailer gives. By the end, it’s a whirlwind of superpowered showdowns punctuated with comedic moments, a reminder that the show never asks you to take it too seriously.
In season 5, Homelander’s (Antony Starr) influence and power dominate much of the world. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are held in a “Freedom Camp,” while Annie (Erin Moriarty) leads resistance efforts. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) returns with a plan involving a powerful biological weapon that could affect all Supes, setting in motion a series of events with serious consequences for everyone involved.

‘No Place to Be Single’
Anyone seeking a heartwarming romantic drama will want to stream “No Place to Be Single,” an Italian original movie based on the bestselling novel by Felicia Kingsley. She was named Author of the Year at the 2024 Italian TikTok Book Awards, sold over three million copies in Italy, and published 15 bestsellers. Her books have been translated into 19 countries, and she was Italy’s most-read author in 2023.
Set in the idyllic Tuscan town of Belvedere in Chianti, “No Place to Be Single” follows Elisa (Matilde Gioli), a single mother who runs her family’s vineyard, Le Giuggiole. Everyone around her seems to be in a relationship or searching for one, but Elisa’s life takes an unexpected turn when Michele (Cristiano Caccamo), a childhood friend she hasn’t seen in years, returns to town. His reappearance disrupts her everyday routine and stirs up emotions she thought were long buried.

‘Spider-Noir’
We aren’t just getting “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” this year; there’s also “Spider‑Noir,” an upcoming live-action series based on the Marvel comic. It marks Nicolas Cage’s first lead role on television, and he’s joined by Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Jack Huston, Abraham Popoola, and Brendan Gleeson. Even better, the series gives viewers a unique choice: you can stream it in classic black-and-white or in full color when it debuts on Prime Video.
“Spider‑Noir” is set in 1930s New York, following aging private investigator Ben Reilly (Cage) as he is drawn back into his former life as the city’s masked vigilante known as the Spider. After stepping away from that world following a deeply personal tragedy, Reilly must confront his past identity when an unusual and dangerous case lands on his desk.
