The cost of streaming in 2026 feels pretty dismal compared to what many of us were paying just five years ago. With prices creeping up across multiple platforms, it’s no longer realistic to subscribe to every major service without spending a small fortune each month. That’s where free streaming services come in handy, especially if you’re trying to cut down on costs without completely giving up your movie nights.
While free platforms like Tubi or Pluto TV may not always have the most expansive libraries, there are still plenty of underrated flicks worth checking out if you know where to look. In fact, some viewers may not even realize that Prime Video integrated Freevee into its wider platform, meaning you can access free, ad-supported movies directly within Prime Video itself. In some cases, this even makes it possible to rethink whether a full Prime membership is necessary at all.
