The group becomes trapped deep inside the Tham Luang cave system after sudden flooding blocks their exit. Divers Rick Stanton (Viggo Mortensen) and John Volanthen (Colin Farrell) navigate narrow underwater passages with near-zero visibility alongside Thai Navy SEALs and emergency teams. With monsoon rains approaching, a complex multi-stage diving plan is launched, turning the operation into a race against time.

‘Operation Finale’ (2018)
With assured direction from Chris Weitz and a standout score by Alexandre Desplat, “Operation Finale” succeeds as a tense spy thriller and intimate character drama. It’s powered by a compelling real-life story and strong central performances, even if it doesn’t fully maximize its dramatic potential. Nevertheless, it remains a consistently engaging historical thriller, and its important subject matter ensures the runtime feels purposeful.
In 1960s Argentina, a team of Israeli intelligence agents suspects they have located former SS officer Adolf Eichmann (Ben Kingsley), one of the main architects of the Holocaust. Tasked with bringing him to justice, the Mossad operatives work to blend into his surroundings and carefully plan his capture so he can be transported to Israel for trial. The mission is led by Peter Malkin (Oscar Isaac), who is personally affected by the weight of history.

‘The Report’ (2019)
“The Report” tells the story of a Senate staffer leading a years-long investigation into classified government operations. ‘Sound of Freedom’ (2023)
If you’re in need of a powerful and emotional film this week, “Sound of Freedom” should be on your watchlist. The true story is based on the real-life work of Tim Ballard, a former U.S. government agent who says he left his job in Homeland Security to found an anti–child trafficking organization called Operation Underground Railroad. The film is inspired by Ballard’s claim that, while working on trafficking cases in Latin America, he rescued children and later carried out operations to find and free other victims.
In reality, “Sound of Freedom” is a heavily dramatized version of these accounts. Tim Ballard (Jim Caviezel) leaves his job after rescuing a young boy from a trafficking network. When he learns the boy’s sister is still missing, he travels to Colombia to continue the search and takes on a dangerous undercover mission to locate and free her. Working with limited resources, he works through criminal networks operating across remote regions while coordinating with allies on the ground.

‘The Grandmaster’ (2013)
“The Grandmaster” is a martial arts drama inspired by the life of Ip Man (Tony Leung Chiu-wai), a real-life Wing Chun grandmaster who famously trained Bruce Lee. Alongside his story, the film also follows rival masters and fighters, including Gong Er (Zhang Ziyi), whose family legacy becomes tied to a long-standing martial arts conflict. The narrative moves between these personal relationships, duels, and the shifting martial arts world of early 20th-century China.
The film follows Ip Man’s journey from his early years in Foshan, where he becomes recognized for his skill after a series of challenge matches against other martial arts masters, through to the turbulent period of war and political upheaval in China.
