Prime Video isn’t exactly the overachiever of the streaming world when it comes to churning out a relentless conveyor belt of hit movies and shows. Its original lineup can sometimes feel a bit uneven since you’ve got to sift through a lot to find the real standouts. But there are still plenty worth streaming, and 2026 has gotten off to a stronger start than previous years.
That said, what it lacks in consistency it makes up for in staying power. Prime Video has built a reputation on dependable, long-running favorites that keep audiences coming back year after year, and 2026 is a strong example of that formula working, with returning series landing alongside a surprisingly solid slate of new originals.
