The summer of Christian McCaffrey continues. After getting married, earning a new contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers and being named the cover athlete of the upcoming Madden 25 video game, McCaffrey joined an exclusive club within the game.
Before the game’s launch, Madden has been releasing some of the individual rankings for the upcoming 2025 edition of the legendary football video game. For the second time, McCaffrey earned a 99 overall ranking, joining the exclusive “99 Club.”

McCaffrey made history with his latest ranking, becoming the first 49ers running back to earn a 99 overall. Trent Williams was the latest member of the 49ers to earn a 99 overall. Patrick Willis, Terrell Owens and Ken Norton Jr. earned 99s while wearing red and gold.
McCaffrey earned a 99 in the 2021 edition of the game. McCaffrey has been a 91 or higher since Madden 20.
Miami Dolphins star pass catcher Tyreek Hill is the only other player to earn a 99 overall ranking so far.
The highly anticipated game is set to drop on August 16.
