With the stage set for Super Bowl LVII, the football-watching world is left to look ahead at all the intriguing aspects of this year’s matchups. Chief among them is the quarterback pairing, with this season’s top two MVP candidates—the Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts—set to square off in what should be a must-watch showdown.
At least, that’s how most people view things.
Count 49ers All-Pro defensive end Nick Bosa among the few who aren’t looking forward to seeing Mahomes and Hurts ply their trades. When asked about the two quarterbacks sharing the same field on Feb. 13, Bosa was curt in his response.
“That’ll be a good battle—that I won’t be watching,” Bosa said, per The Athletic‘s Matt Barrows.

Given the fact that the Eagles just sent Bosa’s San Francisco squad packing in a 31-7 NFC championship game defeat, it’s unsurprising that he’s not eager to take in the big game like the rest of us. After coming one game short of playing in the Super Bowl for two straight years, it’s natural to want to abstain from viewing the biggest television event of the year with the wound still fresh.
Whether or not Bosa is paying attention, though, the battle between Mahomes and Hurts will hopefully live up to the billing.
