The 49ers are officially without their starting left tackle for Monday Night Football against the Vikings. Trent Williams was one of the seven players listed as inactive for the contest.
Williams was originally listed as doubtful on the injury report because of an ankle injury he suffered in Week 6. He wasn’t expected to play, but his placement among the inactives confirms he won’t participate.
Here’s who won’t suit up for San Francisco:
QB Brandon Allen (QB3)
LT Trent Williams (ankle)
WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder)
DL Kalia Davis
LB Jalen Graham
RB Tyrion Davis-Price
TE Brayden Willis
Samuel was ruled out because of a hairline fracture in his shoulder. That injury was also sustained in Week 6 at Cleveland. He’s expected to miss Week 8 as well.
Not listed is running back Christian McCaffrey. He was questionable with an oblique injury. The expectation was that he’d play, but now he is officially suiting up.
