The 49ers dominated the fan voting for the Pro Bowl. That voting helped them send nine players to the NFL’s All-Star festivities. Player and coach voting also accounts for a percentage of the vote, which is why despite having 15 players atop their position in the fan vote, nine were ultimately named to the NFC’s team.
One of the nine was QB Brock Purdy, who was the No. 1 overall vote getter. His regular season is over, but his 4,280 passing yards are the most in 49ers history and his 9.6 yards per attempt made him one of the most efficient passers in the history of the sport. His Pro Bowl spot was well-earned.
