Internationals will continue to arrive back at Leeds United’s training ground in dribs and drabs through Wednesday, but the wait will go on a little longer for their last traveller. Luis Sinisterra’s Colombia will not step off the pitch in their last match until 5am BST on Wednesday and they will certainly not be within striking distance of Thorp Arch.
The 23-year-old will hope to be involved as his nation faces Mexico in a friendly at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Keener observers of United’s ownership group will know this is also the home of NFL franchise San Francisco 49ers.
While Jesse Marsch awaits the return of the final part of his masterplan for Sunday’s match, 49ers Enterprises have the chance to look at one of the biggest investments made of the summer. Sinisterra is widely considered to be Raphinha’s replacement and required a significant outlay north of £20m during the transfer window.

Paraag Marathe, United’s vice-chairman, remains a significant cog in the 49ers machine and will surely not miss the chance to see a key Leeds player at the stadium he considers home. Sinisterra will hope to build on the goal he scored in his nation’s 4-1 win over Guatemala on Sunday.
While Marathe has already made his bow at Elland Road this season and watched the side in the flesh, this will be another valuable opportunity to see a player at close quarters he and the board have high hopes for.
