In the final game of the regular season, the San Francisco 49ers lost a key piece on the defensive line for the remainder of the game against the Los Angeles Rams.
In the first quarter of the game, veteran pass rusher Clelin Ferrell was carted off the field after suffering an apparent leg injury. Ferrell was later ruled out of the remainder of the game against the Rams with a knee injury.

Ferrell has started every game of the season for the 49ers on their run to the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Ferrell tallied 28 tackles, six tackles loss and 3.5 sacks on the season.
