The San Francisco 49ers held a 3-point lead over the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth quarter when it looked like their defense was about to make a huge play against Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ offense.
But then it fell apart in stunning fashion, the Rams kept their drive alive, scored a TD a few plays later and went on to win the game.
Ouch.
The play I’m talking about, of course, was when 49ers DB Jaquiski Tartt dropped what looked like an easy interception. It was a heartbreaking play for San Francisco, which might have been able to hold on for the win if that play went a different way.
