The 49ers have a replacement for assistant offensive line coach James Cregg. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, San Francisco will be hiring former Raiders assistant Cameron Clemmons to fill that spot on their coaching staff.
Clemmons joins the 49ers after four years with the Raiders. He began in Las Vegas as an assistant tight ends coach before moving over to be an offensive line assistant where he spent the last three seasons.
The 49ers will be Clemmons’ second stop as an NFL coach. He also spent time with the Patriots via the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship. Before coaching in the NFL Clemmons was with Eastern Kentucky as an offensive intern, and the University of Tennessee where he worked with running backs and the offensive line.
