Brenden Rice, son of Jerry Rice, isn’t the only son of a 49ers legend who might catch the 49ers’ eye in this year’s draft process. San Francisco on Friday had personnel on hand at Missouri’s Pro Day where Terrell Owens’ son Terique was working out.
Owens spent three years at Missouri State where played in 18 games and posted 46 catches for 765 yards and four touchdowns. All four of his TDs came in the 2023 season when he also had a career-high 28 receptions and 528 yards.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area posted Owens’ measurables from the Pro Day:
Missouri State WR Terique Owens, son of Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, worked out in front of more than 20 scouts (including 49ers) today at the University of Missouri. Source says Owens (6-1, 200) ran the 40 in 4.51 seconds with a vertical of 38.5 and broad jump of 10-4.

While Owens’ pedigree could put him on the map for the 49ers, it’s likely Missouri defensive lineman Darius Robinson and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. Both are players who fill needs for San Francisco and could be available at No. 31 when the 49ers are slated to be on the clock.
