The Arizona Cardinals did not get off to a good start against the San Francisco 49ers and were unable to find an answer for running back Christian McCaffrey, quarterback Brock Purdy or receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
They lost the game 35-16 but showed they would not quit. They just didn’t have enough talent.
Josh Dobbs threw two touchdown passes, both to rookie receiver Michael Wilson, rushed for 48 and did not turn the ball over.
Dennis Gardeck had his fourth sack of the season, but, for the 49ers, purdy had only one incompletion in 21 passing attempts, McCaffrey had 177 total yards and four touchdowns and Aiyuk caught six passes for 148 yards.
