THANE: A boy who was 12 at the time of the incident testified in the court against a 45-year-old who had sodomised him in Bhayandar area in 2020. The testimony led to the conviction and the man was sentenced to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI).
The judge, DS Deshmukh, noted that ‘the act of sexual assault and should give a clear message to the society at large that perpetrator in such cases are dealt with an iron hand’.
