BHOPAL: A total of 44 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the state on Sunday. Against these 44 new cases, only 41 people recovered from the disease. Thus the number of active patients increased from 262 on May 21 to 265 on May 22.
From 136 active cases on March 31, there are now 265 active cases. Thus in a litte more than one and a half months active cases have increased by more than 90% in the state. A couple of days ago on May 16, it was after two months that number of active patients in the state crossed 250 mark as 262 active patients were reported then.
New infections were reported from 13 of the 52 districts of the state.
Positivity rate of 0.6% was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested. Only 6,575 samples were tested in the state. On the brighter side, 41 people recovered, taking the count of those who have recovered so far from Covid-19 to 10,31,211.
