The Miami Dolphins are headed back on the road this week, as they’ll take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Friday for a Week 12 battle.
Miami has started off strong this year, but they haven’t had many games recently where the offense and defense were performing well at the same time. That will be the goal in this contest against an AFC East rival.
The Jets, despite a decent 4-6 through 11 weeks, have looked abysmal on offense, while the defense still looks solid. Now, they’re bringing in backup quarterback Tim Boyle to start for Zach Wilson with the hope that a change sparks something.
However, we figured that we’d provide a few things that the Dolphins and Jets fanbases should know and think about before the game.

Records
The Dolphins are 58-56-1 all-time against the Jets and are 16-10 since 2010. Miami is 8-5 at the Meadowlands in that span.
Miami split the season series with the Jets last, but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was out for both of those battles.
In their last meeting, Miami scored with Raheem Mostert and Durham Smythe touchdowns, and former Jet-turned-Dolphin Braxton Berrios scored on a 15-yard run.
Injury concerns
The two teams have only held walkthroughs so far this week, but both teams are battling injuries.
For Miami, Durham Smythe wouldn’t have participated in a full practice, and limited participants would’ve included running back De’Von Achane, left tackle Terron Armstead, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, right guard Robert Hunt, fullback Alec Ingold, right tackle Austin Jackson and running back Raheem Mostert.
For the Jets, left tackle Mekhi Becton and defensive back Michael Carter II would’ve been out. Defensive end John Franklin-Myers, outside linebacker Jermaine Johnson II, offensive tackle Billy Turner, linebacker Quincy Williams and wide receiver Garrett Wilson would’ve been limited.
