The folks over at Pro Football Network have a new 2024 mock draft out and they went the extra mile on picking every game of the season to determine their draft order. This means there’s a new team at the top and big changes in the first round. Here are our four takeaways from the mock draft.
A new No. 1 pick
Practically every mock draft to this point has the Arizona Cardinals with back-to-back picks at the top of the first round. But for this one, the folks at PFN played it out with the Los Angeles Rams having the top picks and we are here for it.
Brock Bowers in the top five
PFN has Georgia tight end Brock Bowers going No. 5 overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not sure what I’m missing on Bowers when I see him going so high but I will believe it when I see it.
Snuck a running back in
As we were going over this mock draft, the last thing I expected to see was a running back. But Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson makes a lot of sense for the Dallas Cowboys. All the talk this offseason has been about how serious the league devalues the position but teams will always look for elite talent at RB they can get on a rookie deal.
Player to watch: Leonard Taylor
Of all the guys in this mock draft, the one we expect to make the biggest climb is Miami defensive tackle Leonard Taylor. PFN has Taylor going No. 32 overall to the Kansas City Chiefs but by draft day, the athletic interior lineman is going to go much higher.
