Liverpool city centre was crowded on Saturday as thousands took to the streets to celebrate Pride in Liverpool 2022.
Despite an uncertain weather forecast, the people of Liverpool refused to let it dampen their spirit or influence their outfit choices. People flooded the streets with rainbow colours, sparkles and glam, holding banners and signs.
This year marked the return of Pride in Liverpool after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The festivities began from 10.30am as crowds formed at St George’s Plateau ahead of the March with Pride.

This year, the Pride in Liverpool event moved to the Pier Head, where local artists - as well as disco legends Boney M ft Maizie Williams - took to the stage to keep the thousands of excited fans entertained.
Liverpool’s Pride celebrations are expected to last right through the night until the early hours of the morning, with a number of after parties taking place in venues throughout the Pride Quarter.
