The final day of the legal tampering period commences Wednesday, and the Indianapolis Colts have not been shy about adding depth and talent to the roster.
They made a big splash Monday night by agreeing to sign former Los Angeles Rams kicker Matt Gay to a four-year deal. They also brought back linebacker E.J. Speed on a two-year deal while fellow linebacker Bobby Okereke reached agreement on a big contract with the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, they agreed to trade cornerback Stephon Gilmore to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth-round pick, and they agreed to a three-year deal with free-agent defensive end Samson Ebukam on Tuesday. They also are planning to release quarterback Matt Ryan.
The start of free agency officially begins Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. ET, which means we’ll likely see a flurry of announcements, making these moves official. As always, nothing is set in stone until the team announces it as so.
