Millions of Americans rely on Medicare Advantage for their healthcare coverage, but having a plan that worked well in 2026 doesn’t guarantee the same benefits or costs next year. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) projects that approximately 34 million people will be enrolled in Medicare Advantage in 2027, representing about 47.4% of all Medicare beneficiaries. While federal officials expect average premiums to decline, individual plans can still change their provider networks, prescription drug coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and supplemental benefits. Some insurers are also reducing their offerings in certain markets, making this year’s enrollment review particularly important.
