A 33-year-old investor has said in a post on Reddit that he passed $1 million (£733,000) in net worth. He reached the mark at 33, two years ahead of the target he set for age 35, after first clearing $60,000 (£44,000) in student loans.

His net worth stands far above the norm for his age. Median net worth for US households headed by someone under 35 was about $39,000 (£29,000) in the Federal Reserve's most recent Survey of Consumer Finances, conducted in 2022.
