The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards nominations announcement, which was scheduled to be held live and in-person in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, has been canceled due to the ongoing wildfires in the area. The decision to cancel the event was made in consideration of the safety and well-being of all involved.
Instead of the live event, the nominees for the SAG Awards will now be unveiled tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. PT through a press release and on the SAG Awards website. This change in the announcement format aims to ensure that the nominees are still recognized and celebrated despite the cancellation of the live event.
