31-year-old prison guard kills himself in Chennai

Prison Police Puzhal

CHENNAI: A 31-year-old prison guard allegedly killed himself at his house in Puzhal on Friday night. Police suspect it was due to family pressure.

The deceased, M Kasiraman, a resident of Tirunelveli was staying with his wife in Puzhal. Police said Kasiraman joined the uniformed services in 2017 and was posted as a prison guard in the remand section of the Puzhal Central prison.
