One of the music industry’s most enduring mysteries finally has a legal resolution. A Las Vegas jury has found Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of murder with the use of a deadly weapon in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. It’s a historic conclusion to a 30-year-old case that was only solved because of the investigation into another death: the still-unsolved murder of the Notorious B.I.G, Christopher Wallace.
The verdict was announced on 1st of August, less than three hours after the jurors began their deliberation. ABC News reported that Davis, a 63-year-old former gang leader, now faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison. Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny has set the sentencing date for Oct. 13.
