Ayrshire hospitality group SimpsInns is creating up to 30 new jobs this spring, following the £250,000 redevelopment of a venue in Irvine.
The Potting Shed at Si! is looking for chefs at all levels, as well as front of house team, duty managers and an operations manager.
“We’ve shaken things up at Si! and are delighted to introduce one of Ayrshire’s trendiest new meeting places where flavours and ideas from our global travels have come together at The Potting Shed,” explained the group's senior manager Jack Simpson, who has helped deliver the new vision.
The Potting Shed is on the ground-floor and will seat up to 80 people in the revamped space, which includes a dog-friendly area.
Upstairs, the Terrace bar and restaurant will seat diners, both inside and on the refurbished outdoor balcony.
SimpsInns owner Malcolm Simpson said: “Following a four-month, £250,000 makeover, we can’t wait to welcome guests to The Potting Shed and The Terrace from this spring.
“In preparation for opening The Potting Shed and The Terrace, we’ve just launched a recruitment campaign to fill a range of professional hospitality roles, and for anyone looking to kick-start their hospitality career in 2023.”
SimpsInns is a family-owned business run by the Irvine-based Simpson family that already owns and operates a collection of hotels, restaurants, bars, spa, golf and leisure activities in Ayrshire.
Supporting around 280 jobs, the group has recently invested more than £3m across venues including The Gailes, The Waterside Hotel at West Kilbride and Old Loans Inn, near Troon.
