With Philadelphia’s training camp nine days away, we’re looking at the 30 most important Eagles of 2023, and second-year offensive lineman Cam Jurgens is the guy at No. 4.

Jurgens was drafted to eventually be the successor to Jason Kelce at the center position, but he’ll spend this season competing for the right guard spot.

A 23-year-old second-year center who’s played 44 career snaps, Jurgens will first move to right guard in place of Isaac Seumalo.

Sitting behind All-Pro Jason Kelce, Jurgens didn’t play much as a rookie, but he’s shown dominant traits when inserted into the lineup.

The Eagles have high hopes for Jurgens, a second-round draft pick from Nebraska last April.

He shined last summer in the preseason playing center and displaying great intelligence, athletic ability, and strength.

He’ll slide down one spot, but’ll benefit from playing next to Lane Johnson.
