This year’s running back class in the 2023 NFL Draft is full of talent and intriguing prospects throughout all seven rounds. One of the more intriguing players with the ability to impact both the rushing and passing attacks as a great receiving back is Kansas State’s Deuce Vaughn. Could he be a change-of-pace gadget fit with the Cleveland Browns?
Vaughn does present concerns with his size at only 5-foot-6 and 175 pounds but he makes up for it with great speed and body control. He has good vision and if he is given even the smallest seam he can exploit it with his speed and turn it into a big play.
As good and productive as he is as a runner he is even more dynamic as a receiver. He is a good route runner that can create extra yardage in open space and makes tacklers miss to turn plays into even bigger gains. If the Browns were to add Vaughn in the draft he would be a great compliment to Nick Chubb.
