PUNE: Three masked men in the early hours of Friday threatened three workers of different companies in the Chakan MIDC area and robbed their cellphones, collectively worth Rs37,000.
A 24-year-old resident of the Nighoje village near Chakan filed a complaint with the Chakan police on Sunday.
An officer from the Chakan police said the complainant around midnight as Friday began took the company bus, which dropped him in Nighoje. “While he was walking towards his room, three men on a scooter, with their faces covered with masks, stopped near him. Two of them got down and threatened the complainant with a sharp weapon,” the officer said.
The duo then snatched his smartphone worth Rs18,000, and the trio rode away.
A probe revealed the trio had robbed two more workers of their cellphones on the same night.
