The folks over at Yardbarker have a new 2024 mock draft out and we decided to dig into it and see what sort of trends are starting to show up even 11 months out from the actual draft. You can read the whole thing right here but here are our three big takeaways.
Way too many quarterbacks
As excited as we are to watch this group of quarterbacks play this upcoming college football season, mocking eight of them in the first round extends well beyond ambitious.
Look out for JC Latham
Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham went No. 27 in this mock draft but he really has the potential to go Top Five by next April. This entire offensive tackle class is very good but Latham might be the best of them.
Consensus at the top
All of the early mock drafts are following a similar theme. USC quarterback Caleb Williams going No. 1 overall and Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. going No. 2. It will be interesting to see if anyone can dethrone them over the next several months.
