All the talk this offseason has centered around the new players on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster and which guys are the top breakout candidates. But which guys are going to underperform and disappoint? Here are our top three candidates to disappoint the fans.
EDGE Alex Highsmith
It would be tough to follow up on Highsmith’s 14.5-sack 2022 season as it is. But if he gets a big new contract and doesn’t perform, it will be even more disappointing.
OT Broderick Jones
Reports are already up and down about Broderick Jones in minicamp and it feels like the Steelers are in no rush to get Jones into the starting lineup. Will anything but a big rookie season be a disappointment? For many, the answer is yes.
WR George Pckens
Expectations on second-year receiver George Pickens are entirely too high for him this season. Pickens was second on the team in receiving yards and fourth in receiving yards. But if you expect this to be Pickens breakout season, you might be disappointed.
